Tips for getting the most out of your stay in Spain as a student

Students studying abroad spend a lot of time planning, preparing, and saving money for their trip, but they often forget to do the things they should accomplish while they're there. There is almost certainly a list of the most important things to accomplish while studying abroad.

Making friends with locals, not simply those in your study abroad programme, is an excellent approach to fully immerse yourself in a new culture. Even if you're a self-proclaimed picky eater, keep in mind that food may teach you a lot about a new culture. Don't be a snob; at the very least, sample what the natives eat. Use your stomach to get to know your new, albeit temporary, residence. It doesn't have to be a sophisticated kitchen; street food is frequently the finest and most unique way to learn about a new region.

Examine the language abilities required for your programme. Before and during enrolment, some courses will demand confirmation of knowledge. Also, keep in mind that not every city prioritizes Spanish as a first language. Catalan, Galician, and Basque are the predominant languages spoken in various areas.

There will always be a lot of cabs in the cities you visit, but walking or taking public transportation is not only the cheapest but also the smartest alternative. Don't even think of taking a cab. Walking immerses you in the city and gives you the feeling of being a native.
