Management Entrance Tests
An entrance examination is an examination that many educational institutions use to select students for admission. These exams may be administered at any level of education, from primary to higher education, although they are more common at higher levels.
Admission to MBA and PGDM courses is done through an entrance exam, group discussion and interview process. There are nation-wide entrance exams conducted by IIM’s, All India Management Association as well as Association of Management Schools in India. In addition to these national exams, there are state level exams too conducted by universities and colleges for admission.
Candidates with a degree in any discipline and final year students awaiting results can take the test. Most of these tests are objective type covering areas of problem solving, verbal ability, reading comprehension, logical reasoning and data interpretation. The number of questions and patterns vary every year. Those who clear the cutoffs in the tests will be later called for group discussions and personal interviews. Some institutes conduct group tasks too. There are many coaching centers spread all over India, who guides and trains students on these MBA entrance exams.
