news

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarships are open to International Students from developing countries to study courses in fields such as law, economics, and management, engineering sciences at the Master's level, and sciences in general for the Doctorate/PhD level engineering science, exact sciences, and political sciences. Master's and Doctoral/PhD students are eligible for the scholarship.

Applicants for Eiffel Excellence Scholarships for International Students in France must meet the following eligibility criteria:

> Nationality: Candidates of non-French origin are not eligible for this programme for example students who do not have French nationality.
> Candidates who have more than one nationality, one of which is French, are ineligible.
> Age: Candidates for master's level must be under the age of 30 on the date of the 2020 Campaign
> Candidates for the PhD level must be under the age of 35 on the date of the 2019 Campaign

> Origin of applications: Only applications from French academic institutions are reviewed or approved. These institutions commit to enrolling scholarship recipients in the course for which they have been selected. Applications submitted via a different platform or route will not be accepted or considered legitimate. In addition, any candidate who is nominated by two or more academic institutions will be excluded.

> Courses of study: Scholarships are available for students intending to pursue a master's degree, including those at engineering schools, as well as PhD students. The Eiffel Programme does not apply to French-run master's programmes in other countries. It also does not apply to training under an apprenticeship or professional training contract.

>Combination with other scholarships: Foreign/international students who are already recipients of a French government scholarship through another programme at the time of application are ineligible, whether or not the scholarship in question includes social security coverage.

> For Eiffel Master Scholarship: Applications from students who previously applied but were denied will not be accepted, even if the scholarship application was filed by a completely new academic institution or in a different field of study. International students who have previously received an Eiffel scholarship at the master's degree level are not eligible to apply for another Eiffel scholarship at the master's degree level.

> For Eiffel PhD Scholarship: Institutions may recommend a candidate who has previously received an Eiffel scholarship at the master's degree level for a PhD scholarship. Candidates who have already received an Eiffel Scholarship during their PhD level are ineligible to receive another. Even if the application is filed by another academic institution or programme of study, candidates who have previously been refused will not be accepted.

> Language skills: Establishments must ensure that non-French-speaking candidate's language skills fulfill the standards of the relevant course of study when pre-selecting them. Students enrolled in a programme or course of study abroad take precedence over those who are currently residing in France.
