The Infrastructure Specialist generally has the following responsibilities:

Assists in translating business needs into technical requirements. Performs all required tasks to ensure technical availability.
Maintains reports and reporting tools for traffic management, service centers and enterprise partners.
Assists in interpreting operational results. Analyzes usage patterns and establishes schedules and procedures for maximum utilization of the system.
Interacts with other organizations to develop solutions for anticipated technical needs in support of business objectives.

Skills required

Good communication skills, particularly verbal skills, both in person and over the telephone.
Confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively to all audiences at all levels.
Proficiency in Project Management Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
Proficiency in Progress Reporting methods and techniques for reporting the progress of an activity against plan.
Proficiency in Risk Management methods and techniques for the assessment and management of risk.
Proficiency in Project Management Tools; Automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording.
Proficiency in Project Planning and Control Techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects.
