The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) program is the ideal opportunity to both learn and improve yourself through new experiences in more than one European country if you have your mind set on studying in Europe. The biggest benefit of taking an EMJMD is the ability to cover much of your expenses.

Erasmus Mundus is a highly-rated foreign study program offered by a consortium of European institutions of higher education (at least two). The research time will be spent in at least two countries under the programme.

If you are curious how long it would actually take to complete this program, you would be relieved to find out that it ranges from 12-24 months, which is very typical for a Master's degree. You will have enough time to research and discover the culture, landscapes and ancient history of Europe.

As long as they already have a Bachelor's degree, any student can apply, regardless of their country of origin. The Bachelor's degree can be replaced if you manage to show that you have the equivalent level of schooling, depending on the laws of the countries in which you will pursue the EMJMD. This means that some nations may allow you to apply for a Joint Master Degree as long as you are able to pass one of their own tests to show that you have the level of knowledge required from a normal Bachelor's degree.

At the end of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, your hard work and special experiences will pay off when you receive:

* A joint degree-a single degree awarded on behalf of at least two universities

* Multiple degrees granted by two or more institutions with at least two degree certificates

You must first be accepted to one of the courses and then be chosen for a scholarship in order to obtain this financial assistance. The sum will depend on the length of the program and your country of origin. Applications are usually submitted between October and January for this program, although there are courses that are scheduled for either March or May.

In order to apply for this great European study opportunity, you now know what you need. If you are not persuaded by the ability to study and work in at least two separate countries, then the opportunity to cover most of your expenses will certainly be covered. In Europe, you can also check out other Master's degree programs and find the right one for you.
