East Asia or Eastern Asia is the eastern sub region of the Asian continent. Historically, many societies in East Asia have been part of the Chinese cultural sphere.In business and economics, East Asia has been used to refer to a wide geographical area covering ten countries in People's Republic of China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan . Government support for higher education in East Asia is high and there has been rapid expansion in this sector.
